Sarah Joy is a queer second-generation Korean-American writer, storyteller, and strategist based in the Bay Area. They specialize in creative copywriting, narrative strategy, executive ghostwriting, and SEO consulting. Decolonized approaches to communication deeply inform their work.

Prior to launching their independent practice, Sarah worked extensively in marketing strategy, communications strategy, client management, and project management across various agency, corporate, and startup settings.

Their goal is to apply their skills and integrative experiences to serve values-aligned organizations and founder-led ventures.

Sarah Joy prioritizes partnering with justice- and equity-oriented social impact orgs, health & wellness brands, and food & wine brands that are rooted in community.

Outside of consulting, Sarah Joy comes alive in community, finding joy in shared meals, collective resistance, deep connections, community care, art-making, and playing in the outdoors.

They are a member of QiKi Club, a Bay Area-based collective of queer/trans care practitioners, artists, activists, and healing justice organizers that hail from the Asian Diaspora.

Additionally, they drum with the Bay Area samulnori group
kkiri kkiri (끼리 끼리).

Spring 2026 marks their 7th season of backyard beekeeping. She and her wife tend to their hive in Berkeley, CA, along with their little red dog, Benji.
